Jamie O

Hey there! I’m James Oberlin, aka Jamie O. I currently reside in the Tampa Bay area and I initially established myself as a musician in Columbus, Ohio. I play acoustic guitar & perform songs varying from the 60s to today. Easy Listening, Rock n Roll, Country and Western, and Pop music, too. I have a wide selection of music for you to enjoy!

I enjoy all types of music. I find qualities in most music that I like in one way or another. Some of my favorites would include The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, The Foo Fighters, Eric Church, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Chris Stapleton, The Black Crowes, just to name a few.

I am fortunate to have grown up surrounded by musical talent. I listened to all genres of music and everything was timeless. My interest in music started as a young kid playing various musical instruments and singing. It was in high school that I fell in love with playing guitar and the drums. I just couldn’t choose between the two so I played both and am still doing both!

I’ve played music and entertained mostly throughout the Midwest. I have also worked on studio sessions for various artists by playing drums, singing backup vocals, and producing. I’m excited to be here in the Tampa Bay area sharing music with everyone. 

I love to entertain and interact with the crowd. I play a wide variety of music including covers and a few originals so you won’t get the same songs over and over at each gig or event. I often get stuff by request, off the cuff, so holler it out and if I know it, I’ll play it. If I don’t then I will try to learn it on the fly and play it! Always feel free to message me in advance with any special requests, too!

I am constantly working on improving my craft and spend my downtime learning new songs or just listening to music to find songs to add to my list.
