James Oberlin, aka Jamie O currently resides in the Tampa Bay area and he initially established himself as a musician in Columbus, Ohio, prior to moving south. He plays acoustic guitar & performs songs varying from the 60s to today. Easy Listening, Rock n Roll, Country and Western, and Pop music, too.

Jamie grew up surrounded by musical talent. He listened to all genres of music with his biggest influences being The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Foo Fighters, Johnny Cash, and Hank Williams, Jr. because Jamie found the music relatable. 

Jamie’s interest in music started as a young kid playing various musical instruments and singing. It was in high school that he fell in love with playing guitar and the drums. He couldn’t choose between the two so he plays both with his focus currently on his acoustic guitar gigs.

Jamie loves to entertain and interact with the crowd. He plays an extensive variety of music including covers and a few originals so you won’t get the same songs repeatedly. He enjoys getting requests off the cuff, so yell it out and if he knows it, he’ll play it. If he doesn't then he will try to learn it on the fly for you! Jamie is often working on improving his craft and spends downtime listening to music to find songs to add to his performance. He also spends time building and restoring electric guitars because he enjoys the process.
